We spend about 3 days in the Las Vegas at the end of our 2006 summer
vacation This time we stayed at the Paris Hotel. Absolutely
fantastic! Completely marble bathroom and the Eiffel Tower
experience compared very well with our visit to the really thing in
France several years ago. We choose a room on an upper floor but not
a view of the strip which was about $60 dollars more a night. We
spend most of the time out of the room an had great views from the
top of the Eiffel Tower which included a discount for hotel guests.
The Bellagio was right across the street from the Paris and had
great water shows which were even more spectacular at night and from
the top of the Eiffel Tower. Since our last visit in 1998 the
Venetian was also new and we had a great time touring that also but
it was a bit of a walk from the Paris especially since we'd been
walking all day by that evening already. Mark got an all you can
ride ticket on the roller coaster at New York New York and rode
about 20 times. Nick, Elaine and I enjoyed the numerous and very
reasonable buffets. The variety at these food orgies is just
incredible. It was a challenge to take small portions so you could
taste a little bit of everything. We still recommend Las Vegas as a great place for
family vacations! Pack some good walking shoes!
