Registered Number 81.
Marriage date, August 12, 1888
Eugene Pettit, aged 22,birthplace Hempstead occupation - Boater
Father- Lewis Pettit, Mother - Van Nostrand
Francis Carman[Connors?] ,aged 20, birthplace Jericho, Residence, Hempstead
Father - William -------, Mother ------Scott
Official solemnizing the marriage: Stephen Rushmore.
It may be that the clerk who orginally recorded the marriage got the names Connors
and Carman confused in recording the entry. Perhaps it was recorded sometime
after the actual ceremony. There is also an age discrepancy for Eugene. If he
was born on 5 Aug 1868 he would have been 20.

than George and Anne he is the third. William was buried June 3 1832 at the age
of 45, which would mean a birth date of about 1787. This would make him two years
younger than his brother? George.
